Terms and Conditions
General
The premise of the escape room is based on solving puzzles and so we expect participants not to disclose any details of the game directly or indirectly to the public.
Our resources are carefully selected and produced especially for the games. Scrub Games is entitled to charge participants or the hosting institution for any damage which is intentional or caused by misuse of items.
Safety and Conduct
Participants are responsible for their own safety and that of their belongings. Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner towards instructors and fellow participants.
Scrub Games is not liable for any personal injury, loss or damage to personal belongings during the course of the activity.
All participants must follow the instructions provided by the faculty/venue hosts and adhere to the safety guidelines and rules outlined before the game. Any unsafe behaviour that may cause harm to oneself or others is prohibited. Participants must refrain from using any external tools, force or unauthorised means to manipulate or damage equipment.
Special Requests
We will always endeavour to accommodate special requests where possible, however these must be agreed prior to the event in writing. We cannot promise that requests will be complied with unless we have specifically confirmed this in writing.
Participant Suitability
The game themes are medical/surgical and participants will require the relevant prior training and knowledge to make the most of the game. There will be exposure to medical and surgical content. It is the responsibility of the participants or their guardians to enquire about suitability prior to booking with us.
Booking and Payment
Booking a Scrub Games escape room session can be done via email, phone or in person. All bookings are subject to availability.
The session details will be agreed prior to the event and a quotation and plan of the event/activity will be provided. 50% payment is required via bank transfer 6 weeks prior to the event to confirm the session. The full payment must be made on the day of the event.
A booking is made with us when:
a) you tell us that you would like to accept our quotation
b) a 50% deposit is paid
c) we issue you with a booking confirmation.
Should any additional participants be added at a later date, it remains the responsibility of the lead name to ensure that they agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and are in receipt of all relevant information relating to activity.
Cancellation
Rescheduling requests can be made up to 4 weeks before the scheduled session. If you need to cancel your booking, please notify us at least 4 weeks before the scheduled session to be eligible for a refund. After this time, no refunds or rescheduling will be permitted.
If participants do not attend on the day, it will not be possible to arrange a refund for either part or the entirety of the session.
We reserve the right to make alterations to and correct any errors to the event details before and after your booking has been confirmed. Most of these changes will be minor and we will advise you of them. Very rarely, we may be forced by unforeseeable circumstances to cancel your booking. If this situation does occur, we will inform you at our earliest opportunity and will discuss re-arrangements with you at the time.
